Love the atmosphere!

Patrystyk responds:

Glad you like it ^-^

Pretty Chill

May I recommend though, getting a better organ sound. It filts well with everything towards the end, but at the beginning when it's basically alone, it sounds....not so great. Other then that nice cool/chill tune

metalheadmarch responds:

the organ sound was kinda of an orchestral pad I've been messing with, but I'm still trying to figure out where this song came from..AHH! it freaks me out that some songs I love are so hard to find, and still remain in my little brain for such a long time.

Eww the base

I try to hear past it but it's just to out there for me and taking control of everything else. That base u use in the very beginning and throughout the song sounds very bad. The one that hits a few notes, builds up, and just holds out (sustains) for a bit. I think it just doesn't go well with the song at all. And when it first starts it VERY crackling like from 16 seconds to 20 seconds.....all you hear is an annoying cracking sound and it's not good for this tune

Calamaistr responds:

its a smashed chip, its perfect for how i felt.

I see what you're doing here

I like the unit dong of it just not how it's put together. At first, in the beginning, it's more together, but as it progresses it starts to lose he sense of wholeness it has. I just really think there's too much going on. A better name would be "The computer has just crashed" :/

thinking-man responds:

I agree.

I'm still trying to get better, and will probably wind up deleting this in the next month or so.

Ehh

Personally I think there's too much going on. And it's kinda misleading to call it a loop. Now if loop that part right around 31 seconds and work with that then u may have something. The base kinda kills the whole sound.....like horribly. Perfect example at 1:44. But I really like the middle of your song. It's really smooth especially from 40 seconds until, well again, when that base comes in. With some tweaking here and there I think this could come out to be a really nice soft core battle song or a running around on a map song.

DiroNomer responds:

Thanks for the advice :D

What just hapopened?

I can honestly say I was absolutely in love with the entire beginning. Everything was perfectly put together, the beat went with the melody well, and everything blended in a great way......BUT ON THE OTHER HAND I did not like anything after 46 seconds. The song began to build up slowly and had me just anxious on what was about to drop. I was on the edge of my chair and then you put a boot to my face. I did not like the vocals at all, probably because they sounded so plain and the baseline you had; to me, just didn't go well with the song. I would have been fine with just listening to the beginning over and over with some changes here and there once and a while, but hey maybe that's just me. :/

choopocobra responds:

the idea was to take you in in another direction intentionally . lookin for just dubstep ur in the wrong category. but i see where you are coming from

Wrong Place?

I can appreciate what you are trying to do, but this sort of thing you have here doesn't seem like it should be on newgrounds. I feel that it should be on another website that features more things like you described in your author comments above.

KKSlider60 responds:

It's not called the "audio" portal for nothing, isn't it? It's a valuable resource for any kind of audio, from voice acting to rock music, even noise. Having a wide variety of sounds and atmospheres is a great opportunity for Newgrounds to not rely on other sites, and thus, making it grow in popularity and usefulness. Besides, take a look around and you'll realize there are more tracks like this one, perhaps even longer, with the difference that there's no indication about the aforementioned binaural beats or crap like that. ;)
Cheers,
KKS

why is this not a 4 and above?

I honestly feel that some high ranking NG member is out to get you but that's another story.

This was an extremely well put together piece. Everything flowed together really smoothly, the transitions and build ups were good and it was just very nice to listen to. The thing that got me though was not the orchestral part of this (ive heard a LOT of orchestral pokemon covers) but the drums. I feel the way you added the drums brings the piece out so much more and inhances it greatly. My only negative is the random guitar. It was kinda like putting extra icing on a perfectly fine cake. Wasn't really needed and was a little too contrasting with with the song as a whole. 8/10 5/5

reel2 responds:

Thanks for the great review and the nice words HanaSama.

The guitar, well some like it and some did not. I've been getting a 50/50 on that. I added it because I've never played around with having an el guitar play along an orchestra. Thanks =)

very catchy

I really like the simple feeling you get from listening to this. Not super complex like a lot of songs now-a-days but just enough so that its interesting. Keep it up!

NinjaTomatoes responds:

well, thank you! Glad you like it.

Looking back, I really wish I stuck around. Who knows how good you'd be at something if you did just a little of it daily. Here it is almost 2018, over 6 years since I joined, and have nothing to show for it. I died, but in the ashes a new flame will rise
